Before taking on the role of Deputy Director of Urban Development, Audrey worked as the city’s Development Ombudsman for two years with a focus on the redevelopment of the City of Tuscaloosa’s Recovery Areas. Here, she worked to facilitate the development of over 250, 000 square feet of commercial space. In addition, she worked to streamline various department regulations and processes to make it easier to do business in the City of Tuscaloosa.
Prior to working for the city, Audrey worked as a Project Designer for Fitts Architects in Tuscaloosa for six years. She has a Bachelor of Architecture Professional Degree from Auburn University and a Bachelor of English and a Minor in Business from the University of Alabama. She graduated with honors from both universities.

Rachel is a 2005 graduate of Paul Bryant High School, where she was honored both as valedictorian and an All-American softball player. She obtained her BA from Emory University in Religious Studies, while a 3-year started on the softball team. Rachel obtained a MA from Georgia State in Comparative Religious Studies. After working in for a couple of years, she returned to law school at South Texas College of Law, graduating in 2016. She returned home to Tuscaloosa County where she practices with Blume & Blume, with her parents Nettie and Gar Blume, as well as her husband, Curry Robertson. Curry & Rachel are parents of 11 month old Gus Robertson.
